Understanding how dogs learn is an important step to building the bridge of communication with your dog. Work together with an experienced trainer to teach your pup sit, stay, down, leash manners, mild guarding, guest greeting, adolescent behavior, etc.

Understanding how dogs learn is an important step to building the bridge of communication with your dog. Work together with an experienced trainer on a custom Training Plan to teach your pup sit, stay, down, leash manners, mild guarding, guest greeting, adolescent behavior, etc.

PRIVATE BEHAVIOR MODIFICATION

Moderate to severe behavior issues
Starting at $150 (May require evaluation fee)

Work with a Behavior Consultant on a custom training plan that targets problems such as fear, reactivity on leash, aggression, barking in the home, lunging/barking at dogs and people, car chasing, building relationships with other dogs, etc.

REAL-WORLD PROGRAM

The Real-World Program offers a variety of dog assisted services guided by a team of experienced Padfoot Pets trainers. 

This program offers repeatable scenarios for choice, reward, and self-regulation to create positive interactions with your world, allowing for:

  • An increase in safety
  • Decreased reactive behaviors
  • Improved leash issues
  • Increased positive relationships
  • Overall training reliability

 

With this process, we have the ability to help most families, no matter the dog’s temperament or breed, training experience, time commitment, or behavior problems. Adding the Private Coaching and support with Advanced Care for our Members, Padfoot provides a complete training solution.

PRACTICE

One of our qualified trainers will come to your home and take your dog on a walk or work with them one on one- trainer and dog.  We help you manage your dog’s leash manners and expand their exposure to stimulus using positive reinforcement training techniques.  This service is perfect for your reactive dogs trying to sniff everything at the end of the leash, or the one who barely wants to go outside.

Position open for short-experienced trainers who enjoy working dogs in their homes! It’s the ideal job for someone who understands dogs, learning about dog behavior, and being outside. Join our revolutionary Real World Training team! At Padfoot Pets, we believe in education first! We offer support to our Trainers to have the opportunities for continued education and growth within the company. We hire trainers to work duties outside of training (if able) so any special skills will also be taken into consideration.

All staff must pass a background check. This position is a contracted part-time job. You work independently to give yourself and the pups lots of enrichment and individual training and follow along an agreed schedule.

JOB DUTIES

-goes to location (either home or agreed-to location) and takes dog through the Real World Training Program

-must have reliable transportation
-must have smartphone for accessing scheduling
-must wear identifying gear provided by PPS and carry business cards
-must have approved supplies for training available (i.e. lead, puzzle game, water, bowl, poop bags, varied value treats, etc.)
-complete each session with a report card and photos using Easy Busy Pets
-complete each session with Behavior report on Google Sheets/Spaces
-communicates with dog Owners on behavior/scheduling
-supported by Lead Trainer for complex behavior analysis
-commit to 1/month Staff Meetings/Educational workshops

REQUIREMENTS

  • Valid ID.
  • Reliable transportation
  • Smartphone for accessing scheduling.
  • Works well independently.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite.
  • minumum 1 year of Animal education/training.
  • Training Certification not required but optimal (CPDT, PPG, IAABC, Karen Pryor, CBATI, or equivalent.
  • The ability to walk for long periods of time.
  • Patient, punctual, and reliable.
  • Trustworthy and responsible.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $15.00 – $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5 – 25 per week
